I think it’s human nature (often before trying something new) to come up with a variety of reasons why something won’t work. Were we born with doubt? Or was it unconsciously pounded into us as impressionable little kids? Sure, the adults have tried things or believed things that didn’t work out–for them.
I find myself joining with other adults in the process of re-connecting with the “gee whiz” wonderment of our early years. Instead of hiring a “creativity coach,” consider how very imaginative and powerful you are by daydreaming more, watching clouds and sunsets, and making notes of what comes along. Nothing has to “make sense” and nothing has to be clear–simply dream on paper!
People hearing of “Cosmic Office Inc.” will say, “But how will I remember all of my helpers?”
And I think this: by personally creating/imagining helpers, that thought of one or more helpers has become a reality for you. And the more you rely on the helpers (which are actually parts of your own spirit and energy), the easier it becomes to work with them.
If you organize helpers into an office staff, so much the better! When I have to do something, I picture my helpers hanging around in my imagination waiting to jump in and assist. What works best for you?
