“More money than time”

Today I heard someone say to his wife, “We have more money than time.”

I’ve never heard that sentence, but my first thought was, “Gee, I’d like to be in that predicament!” And then I wondered: have they just now realized that time can’t be purchased at any price?

What do you think? Longevity (a few more hours, months, years even) seems to be possible with more cash–spent on medicine, comforts, assistance–but even the wealthiest people can’t seem to buy a second more when their time is finally up.

So instead of dwelling on either idea, I’m reconnecting at this moment with my time efficiency pal from my cosmic staff, and trusting that when I have more to do than time to do it in—this pal is there. All I have to do is continue to believe there’s help, do the work, and appreciate when somehow the time expands. How? Maybe when focusing on the actual doing I don’t have time to worry about the…time. Maybe (thinking that it’s impossible), I “let go and let God.” Maybe it’s a combination of the two? I know from experience that what’s taken me hours to accomplish somehow gets finished in one or two, and that is priceless.

Bottom line: maybe it’s possible to receive the gift of time–just for asking. Hmmmm.
